Closing gifts for buyers: the house they just bought

Your buyers spent months looking at listing photos. Give them the house itself, small enough for a mantel, starting from the photo that sold it to them.

Just the home? Upload the listing photo and see a free preview now. You only pay if you want it made. From $99.

A custom lettered base? Email us before you order. A base is made to order and quoted by email, not added at checkout.

Do realtors give closing gifts to buyers?

Most do, and buyers have come to expect one. It is a thank-you, so size it to the relationship rather than the price of the house. Most agents spend somewhere between fifty and a few hundred dollars, and a personal gift at the low end does more than a generic one at the top.

Buyers get a lot in the month they move: baskets, cards, a bottle from the lender. The gift still out a year later is the one about their house.

What makes a good closing gift for buyers

The ones that get kept have four things in common.

  • It is about them: their house, not your brand.
  • It lasts longer than the move. Food and flowers do not.
  • It has a place to go: a mantel, a bookshelf, the entry table.
  • It is easy for you. One photo you already have, no measurements, nothing to chase.

For first-time buyers

For a first home, the house is the whole story: the saving, the offers that fell through, the one that was accepted. A miniature of it marks that in a way a gift card cannot. Some agents pair it with something practical for the first month, like a good tool kit, and let the house be the part that stays.

Their name on a lettered base

For a first home especially, the house can sit on a slim base in the same white with two short lines in raised letters: our first home and the family name, or the street and the year they moved in.

A lettered base is made to order, so it starts with an email rather than the upload. Send the listing photo or a link and the two lines you want, and we reply with the price and the timing. Nothing is made or charged until you say yes. Just the house, with no base, you can start right now.

When to give it

Closing day is crowded: keys, papers, movers. A piece that arrives a week or two later, once the boxes are unpacked, lands when your buyers are finally looking at the house as theirs.

Each piece is made in 3 to 5 business days after you order. Ship it to their new address with tracking, or to your office and bring it to a first visit.

How it works

  1. Send the listing photo

One photo of the front is enough to start. No account, nothing to pay.

  2. See it free, instantly

We make a preview from the photo and show it to you first. Your buyers never see it.

  3. Approve it, and we make it

The preview you approve is what the piece is made from. It is finished by hand in our Massachusetts workshop and shipped with tracking.

Questions and answers

Do realtors give closing gifts to buyers?
Most do. It is a thank-you, so it is sized to the relationship rather than the price of the house, and most agents spend between fifty and a few hundred dollars.
What is the best closing gift for first-time buyers?
Something about the house they worked so hard to buy. A miniature of their first home is a keepsake they cannot get anywhere else, and it is still on the shelf when the basket is long gone.
Can I use the listing photo?
Usually, yes. A front listing photo works well: daylight, the whole house in view, nothing in front of it. You see a free preview before you pay, so you know what you are getting before you spend anything.
How far ahead should I order?
Order once the closing date is firm. Each piece is made in 3 to 5 business days, then ships with tracking at the shipping speed you choose.
Can it go straight to my buyers?
Yes. Put their new address in at checkout and it ships to their front door with tracking, or send it to your office to hand over at the closing. Nothing reaches them before the finished piece does.
How will they know it is from me?
Checkout has no gift note, so send your card on its own, or ship the piece to your office and hand both over together.
Can it have their name or address on it?
Yes, on a slim base in the same white: two short lines in raised letters, like the family name and the street. A lettered base is quoted by email, so write to us before you order. Without a base, upload the listing photo and see the free preview now.
